When you purchase a product from Dea Kudibal, you can be confident that every step of the process has been carefully considered – from design and choice of materials to the way we collaborate with the people who help bring our collections to life. We make deliberate decisions that take both people and the environment into account.

We follow the OECD guidelines for responsible business conduct and have implemented a due diligence process. This includes clear policies that reflect our stance on social issues, animal welfare, and the use of chemicals. All suppliers are required to sign and comply with the following policies:

We have a clear policy in place to prevent child labour. In the unlikely event that a child is found working, we require that they be offered access to education or alternative income under safe and appropriate conditions – without returning to similar work.

Our animal welfare policy is based on the Five Freedoms, ensuring animals are treated with care and respect throughout their lives. Suppliers must be able to document how they meet these standards.

We maintain a list of chemicals that are either banned or heavily restricted to protect both people and nature. We have established a testing programme to ensure that none of our products contain prohibited substances.

We work closely with a number of trusted, long-term suppliers and value strong relationships. Mapping our supply chain is a key part of our approach. This includes collecting documentation such as social audits and certifications, which we regularly review. We also prioritise visiting our suppliers – both to strengthen the relationship and to gain first-hand insight into working conditions.

Based on this information, we conduct risk assessments. If we identify areas that do not meet our standards, we initiate a dialogue and collaborate on the necessary improvements.
